Alleppey House Boat Tour
Alleppey is a coastal town in the state of Kerala, popularly known as the Venice of the East. Alleppey is a very famous tourist destination, especially for its houseboat cruise that offers an immersive experience of B:W in Kerala. The backwaters of Alleppey are an intricate network of canals, rivers, lakes, and lagoons. Stretching of 50 km. This particular region is known as the Kuttanad region. The agrestic life of the rice farmers living along the banks of the canals is very fascinating and mind-blowing. Our representative will meet you on time at the port of Cochin and lead you to the vehicle. Alleppey is 56 km away from the south of Cochin. The journey will take two hours by yourury car/van. At 11 AM, board the houseboat and start the cruise. Enjoy the backwaters of Alleppey. At 1 PM you will have lunch on the boat, and the food is prepared in the kitchen of the houseboat itself. 2 PM: Finish the cruise and get back to the pier on time.
The present-day houseboats are the modern version of the old Kettuvallom. The traditional Kettuvalloms, made with no nails, instead use coir ropes to fasten the wooden planks together to make the hull. The modern-day houseboat is different from the traditional houseboat. These modern houseboats have cozy living rooms, furnished bedrooms, washroom, and upper decks.
Food on the Boat
On arrival you will have a welcome drink. Lunch is a traditional Kerala lunch with boiled rice, different kinds of vegetable curry, vegetable thoran, chicken, and fish. Food is mild and non-spicy. On advance request, we will prepare spicy food. There will be three staff members in the boat.
